Chevrolet FC | Fan of the Year 2016

The Brief

#TeamTanami was commissioned to film Chevrolet FC’s 2016 Fan of the Year campaign video. The centre of attention was one lucky Manchester United follower who was selected to receive the experience of a lifetime.

Chevrolet FC and Manchester United chose Martin Murphy as their ‘super-fan’ in recognition of his loyal support of the club personally and through social media.  This was a significant achievement but little did Martin know what was in store…

The Process

Tanami’s production and camera crew followed Martin over the course of three days to document his action packed experience. Filming took place across a range of exciting locations including a stadium tour of Old Trafford, the Player of the Year Awards and George’s (Ryan Giggs’ restaurant). Tanami was proud to be the first ever film crew to gain privileged access inside the Manager’s Office at the Aon training complex to film a special presentation to Martin from Manager Louis Van Gaal and Coach Ryan Giggs. The video captures Martin’s genuine surprise and delight as he was treated to a ‘once in a lifetime’ Manchester United experience where he had the amazing opportunity to mingle with the first team players and take part in an exclusive film shoot with his heroes.

#TeamTanami completed all aspects of post production within a very tight timescale resulting in a near instant international launch on social media.

The Result

An overwhelming positive social media response!

In its first week the video clocked up over 1,000,000 views on Chevrolet’s Facebook Page. Since then, it has been translated into five languages for release on YouTube and has achieved over 700 shares across social media networks. Global praise indeed from football fans around the world.
