Vision Direct | Gizmo’s Summer Adventure

The Brief

#TeamTanami was tasked with producing Vision Direct’s first ever summer campaign video which follows the brand’s adorable mascot, Gizmo the pug, on a sunny adventure to Marbella.

The main objective was to promote the brand’s superfast European delivery option and show just how easy it can be to receive contact lenses whilst on holiday abroad.


The Process

After a #TeamTanami brainstorming session, we pulled together the creative concept of Gizmo’s Summer Adventure, complete with comprehensive mood boards, storyboards and shot lists. Once the Vision Direct family were cast (pugs included), pre-production continued as we jetted off to Spain to recce the perfect setting for the family holiday.

For some insight into the production itself, take a look at our behind the scenes video which gives a peek into all the on set action, as well as the hard work and dedication carried out by the crew, cast and of course, Mr. Gizmo the pug – a true movie star!

Post production involved everything from the office edit to compositing! The specially created soundtrack was written and recorded by the rising star Rhiannon Mair and sets the perfect tone for a pug romance!


The Result

The ad’s success grew rapidly as it received a huge amount of praise across social platforms and racked up almost 200k views on Facebook in its first week! The video also received positive coverage from news outlets such as Campaign Live, The Scotsman and Edinburgh Evening News.
