St Columba’s Hospice was looking to replace the existing video on its website homepage. The new video was intended to showcase the hospice’s amazing facilities as well inform the public about the services and support provided to both patients and family members.
After gaining appropriate permissions from contributors themselves, as well as family members in some cases, a range of interviews were conducted. From the charity’s CEO to current patients, family members to staff and volunteers, a number of perspectives revealed a common thread: appreciation, warmth and kindness. With the delicate nature of this subject matter, Tanami worked in a highly sensitive, non-intrusive fashion, causing as little disruption as possible to daily activity. Each interview was conducted in privacy with a minimalist crew and time was taken to understand each interviewees relationship with the hospice prior to filming.

The 3-minute edit is the most watched video ever on St Columba’s Hospice Facebook page, having clocked up nearly 17k views in the first two weeks alone. It was also shared 300+ times and has received a lot of appreciative comments, with many saying the video was ‘brilliant’, ‘very moving’ and ‘beautifully and sensitively made’.
